A busy road was temporarily shut after a vehicle hit a lamppost.

A Ford Focus collided with a lamppost on Western Road, in Cosham at around 11.30am outside the Porsche garage.

The car rolled but ended up on its wheels.

A spokesman for the Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘We were called to Western Road at 11.37am.

‘Two people were in the vehicle but there were no serious injuries.

‘Fire and ambulance services are on the scene.

‘The road was blocked but has now been reopened.’
