BUS company First has announced changes to some services due to repair work taking place on a bridge.

From June 15 until October 31, Haslar Bridge will be closed for repairs.

This will mean Service 11, Alverstoke-Gosport-Fareham, will be rerouted while the work takes place.

Southbound journeys from Fareham to Gosport will take the usual route and will then run via South Street, Creek Road, Walpole Road, Stoke Road, Forster Road and Anglesey Road to Clayhall Road.

Northbound journeys will return from Clayhall Road via Fort Road, Gilkicker Road, Clayhall Road, Anglesey Road, Bury Road and South Street direct to Gosport Bus Station where they will operate on the normal route to Fareham.

Temporary bus stops will be placed along Clayhall Road and Anglesey Road towards Gosport with a new stop at the back of Waitrose in South Street.

A revised timetable for Service 11 is now on the website at firstgroup.com.

Notices about the diversions will be placed on the route.
