A UKIP councillor is calling on the county council not to cut bus services to a Hampshire village.

Fareham Crofton councillor Chris Wood said: ‘Our bus services in Stubbington and Hill Head are a lifeline for many villagers, who depend on our buses and any cuts to them will upset a great many people.

‘It is a hugely important issue, the county council must work with First to protect these services.’

The county council will discuss which services it will continue to subsidise at a meeting on Monday.
