Crash on the A27 westbound

March 1962 and a naval rating signals Halt to more conventional traffic as the Saunders-Roe SRN1 crosses the seafront at Lee-on-the-Solent and returns to HMS Ariel, now the site of the Hovercraft Museum. RUSH hour traffic faces delays after a crash between a lorry and a car at Havant.

The incident happened at 8.44am at the junction where the A3M and the A27 split westbound.

Police are on scene and all vehicles are on the hard shoulder.

Traffic is still moving but slightly delayed.
