Two crashes have caused long tailbacks on the A27 today.

Sussex Police said they were called to an accident at 8.20am to the B2146 crossing with the dual carriageway, just past Havant.

One lane is closed eastbound between the Stockbridge roundabout and the Fishbourne Road roundabout after a lorry reportedly struck the footbridge.

The accident has caused lengthy tailbacks, and it is estimated the road will not be fully reopened until midday.

Another accident on the A27 eastbound between Havant and Chichester has caused serious delays.

Two cars were involved in a collision and the drivers suffered minor injuries.
