A FAREHAM man is recovering in hospital with serious injuries today following a crash.

The 64-year-old was riding a recumbent tricycle when he collided with a red Honda X11 motorbike on the southbound lane of Cartwright Drive, in Segensworth, Fareham.

Paramedics and police were called at around 15.20pm yesterday and the man was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Cosham, Portsmouth.

The road remained closed for five hours while the vehicles were recovered and police investigated the accident.

PC David Blake, from Fratton Roads Policing Unit, said: ‘I would ask any one who saw the collision or this vehicle travelling along Cartwright Drive to contact me on 08450 45 45 45.’
