A 30-year-old man has died after a car crash.

John Boeijink from Okehampton, in Devon, died at Southampton General Hospital after his Subaru Impreza collided head-on with an Audi at a bend on the B2178 Old Broyle Road near Chichester on Sunday night.

One of his passengers, a 20-year-old man from Stockbridge is still fighting for his life. Another passenger, a 22-year-old man from Rowlands Castle, suffered a broken wrist and has been released from hospital, while a 20-year-old woman passenger, also from Rowlands Castle, received a serious head injury but it is not life-threatening.

The fifth Subaru passenger, a 27-year-old man, from Chichester, received a broken leg.

The driver of the Audi, a 34-year-old man from Chichester, suffered a broken ankle.

A 29-year-old driver of a Peugeot, which was also involved in the crash, suffered slight injuries.
