A 25-YEAR-OLD man was taken to hospital after his car flipped over and hit a tree.

The driver, who is from Gosport, was travelling along Newgate Lane, Fareham, at 5am when he lost control of his Honda Accord.

It hit bushes on the side of the road before turning over.

He was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Cosham, and treated for a minor head injury and cuts and bruises.

A spokeswoman for Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘The man lost control of his vehicle as he went around a bend.

‘It then left the road and hit some bushes before rolling over and colliding with a tree.’

No road closures were put in place and no traffic delays were reported.
