Drivers warned of ice danger

Police flashed an ice warning to drivers today after temperatures fell below freezing point overnight.

Hampshire Constabulary advised motorists to take extra care in potentially-dangerous conditions.

And they reminded drivers to ensure that windscreens were fully scraped clear before a journey.

In a tweet, Hants Roads Policing (‏@HantsPolRoads) said: ‘With freezing conditions overnight please drive extra carefully in the morning.Leave earlier and go slower.’

Last week police tweeted a picture of cars being driven with ice still on the windscreen to highlight the danger of setting off under prepared.
