DRIVERS are being warned to expect delays on the M275 overnight.

Colas will be carrying out general maintenance works which will see the Rudmore flyover closed and the northbound carriageway reduced to a single lane from 8pm.

It will be closed in full from 10.30pm today when traffic will be diverted along Twyford Avenue and Northern Parade.

Work will commence on the southbound carriageway tomorrow and lane closures will be in place from 8pm to 5am tomorrow and Friday.

The carriageway will be reduced to one lane and traffic will be directed off the motorway at Tipner, down and across Tipner Interchange roundabout and back on to the M275 bus lane, off again at Rudmore roundabout and along Mile End Road.

The motorway will be reopened in full by 5am each morning throughout the works and all three lanes on both carriageways will be fully operational during the day.

Since the work is taking place over night, Colas expect minimal delays but would advise anyone travelling in or out of the city during the working hours to allow extra time for their journey and to follow the signed diversions.
