CYCLISTS have a wealth of great rides to choose from this week as Portsmouth Cycle Forum gets involved with national cycle week.

It begins today at The Hard from 4.30pm with a cycling treasure hunt around Southsea. Tomorrow there is a morning ride from Eastney Swimming Pool in Melville Road to the University of Portsmouth from 8.30am.

Anyone interested in architecture will enjoy the tour of Thomas Ellis Owen designed properties in the city. It begins at 5.30pm in the Guildhall on Wednesday.

The Stacey Centre, in Walsall Road, Copnor, will host a bike clean-up workshop on Thursday from 3.30pm.

And the forum’s annual fish and chip supper will follow a ride which begins at 5pm from Guildhall Square on Friday.
