AN EXTRA bus has been provided to help students travel to college after council bus cuts could have led to dozens struggling to get to classes.

Hampshire County Council’s head of transport Sean Woodward has added another bus to the timetable of the number 26 to meet the needs of students at Fareham College.

The bus will leave at 7.22am from Sweethills Crescent headed to Fareham, replacing the previous 7.37am service which was scrapped as part of a wide-range of council cutbacks that aim to save the authority £1.5m.
