FERRY services between Portsmouth and Gosport have bow resumed after teams worked to move an overturned fishing boat.

Passengers hadn’t been able to travel on the Gosport Ferry this morning because a boat which had tipped over at The Hard last night floated in front of the pontoon on the Portsmouth end.

Ferry manager Keith Edwards said the Queen’s Harbour Master had been made aware of the situation and launch boats had been trying to move the vessel.

The obstruction has now been cleared thanks to the efforts of organisations including Wightlink.
