POLICE are hunting a hit-and-run driver who injured an 81-year-old man.

The man was clipped by a car after he stepped off the pavement in South Street, Gosport, at 10am on Monday.

The driver, who did not stop, was travelling eastbound near Gosport police station.

The car involved was possibly a small blue saloon car.

The 81-year-old suffered a minor injury to his left arm but did not need hospital treatment.

Police would like to hear from the driver or any witnesses with details about the car.

Anyone with information should speak to the roads policing unit at Fratton police station on 101.
