AN ESCAPED horse caused chaos during rush-hour traffic.

Motorists called police after the horse was spotted on the A3(M) at Bedhampton just after 7am yesterday.

It had escaped from a field close to the Asda roundabout at Hulbert Road and was eating grass at the side of the busy road.

Police managed to capture the horse and take it safely back to its nearby field.

They are trying to establish who the owner is.
