TWO pedestrians involved in a six car crash during rush hour are urged to come forward.

A black VW Golf and a blue car were driving south along Anglesea Road in Landport towards the pedestrian crossing at the junction with Queen Street when the accident happened.

Police believe two people were crossing the road and the VW Golf lost control, flipping over, hitting four other vehicles and landing on its roof on the opposite side of the carriageway.

The VW Golf collided with a Honda CRV, a Ford Focus, a Vauxhall van and a Renault Clio. The blue car carried on driving following the accident, which happened at about 4.35pm on Thursday.

Four people – the 18-year-old woman driver of the VW Golf and her passengers, a 20-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, plus a 47-year-old woman who was driving the Ford Focus – were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

They were released later that evening.
