FIREFIGHTERS cut a man out of his car after an accident.

Three units from Cosham fire station were called to Havant Road in Drayton at around 10.30pm on Wednesday.

The man’s Saab was pinned against a lamppost and some railings as a result of a collision with another car on the road.

Due to the man having possible spinal injuries, fire crews had to cut the roof off his car and take him out using a spinal board.

The firefighters were at the scene for around an hour.

The driver, who was the only person in the car, was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham.
