AN inquest into the death of a Fareham couple has been opened.

Shirley Diane Janes, 69, and Barry John Janes, who was 70, died following a single vehicle crash.

The pair were travelling southbound on the A34 at Three Maids Hill near Winchester in a red Ford Fusion when it left the carriageway and ended up on its roof.

During a short hearing in Chandler’s Ford, senior coroner Grahame Short adjourned the inquest.
