MOTORISTS were caught up in traffic tailbacks this morning after a bus and a car collided on a busy roundabout.

Traffic built up on the A27 and queues formed on Eastern Road, Portsmouth, after the accident happened at Portsbridge Roundabout at 8.20am.

The lanes on the roundabout were blocked whilst police attended the scene.

No one was harmed and the drivers of both vehicles exchanged details before going on their way.

Police constable Stephen Wilkinson, of Hampshire Constabulary’s control room, said: ‘A build up of traffic was reported on the A27 but it should be able to flow more freely now because we have left the scene.’
