Man cut free from West Sussex car accident

FIREFIGHTERS freed a man from his car after colliding with a wall on the A285 in Upwaltham near Chichester this morning.

The incident happened at 5.22am and fire crews from Chichester and Petworth were called to the scene.

The man, believed to be in his 40s, was freed by firefighters and taken to St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester by ambulance.

A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said the man’s injuries are not thought to be serious.
