A crash caused hold-ups on the M27 yesterday morning.

The accident, which involved two vehicles, happened on the westbound carriageway between junctions 8 and 9 at 7.50am.

Two lanes of the carriageway were blocked as a result of the crash, causing queues to quickly build up back to Fareham.

A total of four fire engines from Cosham, Hightown and Redbridge fire stations were called to the scene.

However, nobody was trapped in their vehicles, and crews were only required to carry out basic first aid treatment at the site of the crash.
