A MOTORIST escaped with minor injuries after rolling her car.
The Nissan collided with a signpost in Privett Road, Gosport, at about 11.30am on Sunday.
A passer-by called 999 and pulled the female driver out of her vehicle after fears the car would catch fire.
Matt Seldon, of nearby Oval Gardens, was on a bike ride with his children Gabrielle, 11, and Sebastian, nine, when they came across the scene of the crash and took this picture.
The 40-year-old said: ‘We must have come across it just a few minutes after it happened. It was quite dramatic. Seeing as that’s a pedestrian crossing it could have been a lot worse, thankfully even the driver wasn’t too badly hurt.’
Ambulance service spokesman James Keating Wilkes said: ‘Someone dragged the driver out of the car as they were worried it would catch fire. We despatched an ambulance and rapid response vehicle. The patient was put on a spinal board and taken to QA as a precaution, but her injuries were not believed to be serious.’
Police closed the road for two hours to allow the fire service to clean the road.
