EASTERN Airways is putting on more non-stop services from the south of England to Aberdeen.

The flights are direct from Southampton Airport, and will see three departures and arrivals every weekday from September 5, compared to the two per day currently.

A Sunday service will continued to be offered to Aberdeen from Southampton.

Kay Ryan, the airline’s commercial director, said: ‘Greater convenience and choice will appeal to business commuters heading to Aberdeen.

‘They will be able to maximise their day visits in north-east Scotland and offshore workers in particular will have more flexibility and save valuable time, while also benefiting from an early Monday morning departure to Aberdeen.’
