PART of a busy roundabout will be closed for night repairs.

Northbound access from London Road to the Portsbridge roundabout in Hilsea will be closed from 9pm on Wednesday, August 27 to 5.30am the next day. One southbound lane will be closed.

The closure will allow workers to replace a repaired section of a footbridge across London Road, which was removed in July. Traffic will be diverted via Copnor Road, Norway Road, Anchorage Road, Eastern Road and onto the A27.

There will be no access to the Shell petrol station in Hilsea during the closure.
