THE route out of Gosport was blocked following a collision involving a lorry and a pedestrian.

A man in his 50s was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Cosham, for treatment after the incident on the Gosport Road near to The Bird in Hand pub.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Police cars and fire engines blocked the road while the incident, which happened around 8.50pm last night, was ongoing.
