A FEMALE pedestrian in her mid-20s has been taken to hospital after an accident in Portsmouth.

The incident happened in Fratton Road between the junctions with Arundel Street and St Mary’s Road at around 3.20pm today.

The woman, who was involved in a collision with a Vauxhall car, was take to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham with injuries described as non life-threatening.

Police remain at the scene investigating the incident and drivers in the area are being warned to expect delays as those investigations continue.
