A 67-YEAR-OLD woman had to be cut free from her car after it left the road and hit a hedge.

The incident at Spurlings Road, Fareham, happened at 3.21pm on Saturday.

Fareham fire crews rescued the pensioner from her red Vauxhall Corsa before she was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Cosham and treated for minor injuries.

The road was closed for an hour while emergency services were working at the scene.

During that time traffic was diverted down Pook Lane.
