A section of road on Portsdown Hill remained closed today after a fatal accident.

James Callaghan Drive was shut in both directions for emergency road repairs between the roundabout at the top of Southwick Hill Road and the Fort Southwick park and ride site.

The site is used by Queen Alexandra Hospital staff, who were told told today that the road is likely to remain closed until at least 5pm and that the park and ride service would be severely affected.

A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a car on Saturday evening.
