A YOUNG driver from Portsmouth remains in a critical condition after her car was hit by a lorry and burst into flames.

The 21-year-old is still in intensive care at Southampton General Hospital following the crash on the A3 southbound, near Buriton, at about 9.25am on Monday

As reported, a lorry hit the broken-down Peugeot 206, which was carrying three people.

The 33-year-old HGV driver will answer police bail on March 13.
