WORK to improve a council-run car park has been completed.

Contractors from Chichester District Council have worked to improve the area around Little London in Chichester.

The work has included York stone paving, granite kerbs and a new road surface.

It took place last weekend, but was delayed as the council initially wanted to close the area on Remembrance Sunday – until officials realised there was a clash with the parade.

Oxmarket car park is also set to be resurfaced, creating a safer walkway for pedestrians. Chichester District Council and West Sussex County Council funded the work.
