Rider injured in scooter crash

A MAN has sustained neck injuries after falling off his scooter in Hilsea.

The rider had an accident today at around 2pm and it is not believed to have involved any other vehicles.

He is being treated at the scene by paramedics and police have closed one lane and a bus lane of London Road northbound.

The man’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening, but it is likely he will be taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Cosham, as a precaution.

Traffic is currently slow on London Road in both directions following the crash.
