THREE people have been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a car accident.
Police, fire crews and ambulance services were all called to incident, on Havant Road, in Bedhampton, after a car and a van collided.
Havant fire station were called to the scene at around 2.45pm this afternoon and were joined by crews from Cosham fire station.
The road was closed by police as the female driver from the car was cut out by fire crews.
She was taken by road ambulance to Southampton General Hospital.
The other two people, who were in the van, were taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Cosham.
A spokeswoman from South Central Ambulance Service said: ‘We were called to a road traffic collision between two vehicles.
‘We sent the hazardous response team, a rapid response team and an ambulance officer.
‘The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance was also called to the scene but wasn’t used.
‘All three patients were taken to hospital with serious injuries.’
The road has now been reopened.
