The shake up of almost every route in Portsmouth, Fareham, Gosport and Waterlooville it set to come into effect on November 13 as part of the company’s drive to deliver a ‘twenty first century’ bus network.
Portsmouth City Council’s cabinet member for traffic and transportation, Cllr Jason Fazackarley, said he was pleased the company was making an effort to keep people informed.
He said: ‘They are trying to communicate with people, but the difficulty is in making sure the word gets out to everyone.
‘These roadshows are a part of that and are very welcome. It is good to see they are trying to engage with people and spread the word.
‘I have not received as many questions and complaints about the changes as I was expecting. Which could mean people aren’t aware of what’s happening, aren’t worried about it or are contacting the company directly.’
Events will be held at the following times and locations:
· Monday, October 29 – Asda in Waterlooville from 9am until 4pm.
· Wednesday, October 31 – Lawrence Square in Gosport between 9am and 4pm.
