EARLY morning trains were cancelled and others were delayed today because of over-running engineering works on the Portsmouth-Brighton line.

Southern said the problem at West Worthing meant a reduced service was run between that station and Brighton and that other trains were terminated, while services between Worthing and Chichester were also affected.

Just before 7am Southern tweeted that all lines hadreopened, although there were still delays to some services across the line.
