TRIBUTES have been paid to a three-year-old girl who was killed in a road accident.

The youngster’s aunt Lucinda McIntosh, 32, from Gosport, named the girl as Billie King as she visited the scene of the accident this morning.

Billie was hit by a motorcycle in Bursledon as she crossed Hamble Lane with members of her family at 7pm last night.

She was taken to Southampton General Hospital, where she later died.

Ms McIntosh said: ‘She was a beautiful little girl. She is going to be missed by everybody. She was just so bubbly. She loved singing.’

Hampshire Constabulary closed the road for more than six hours as they investigated the circumstances surrounding the collision.

The motorcyclist, a 38-year-old man from Eastleigh, was uninjured.

Witnesses who saw the collision or either the child or motorcycle beforehand are asked to call Sgt Andy Lynch on 101 quoting operation Anderwood.
