As previously reported in The News, Josh suffered fatal injuries after the black Vauxhall Astra he was driving smashed into a metal fence in Grange Road, Gosport, close to the Ministry of Defence Centurion Building.

Police said the car had been stolen.

The teenager was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Cosham, Portsmouth, at 7am on Monday and was pronounced dead at 8.25am.

Police confirmed the Astra was stolen from an address in Rowner.

The wreckage was recovered later on Monday afternoon.

Josh was the only person inside the car. Police are continuing their investigations and are asking for more witnesses to come forward.

As previously reported, neighbours said the 40mph road where the accident happened was notorious for speeding.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call 101.
