Two people were rescued from a car which ran into the River Meon near Titchfield Haven.

The driver and his passenger were freed from the vehicle after the drama close to Meon Road Bridge.

Teams from South Central Ambulance service , Hampshire Police and Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service all attended. Fire crews from Fareham,Gosport and Cosham were all involved.

It was expected that the vehicle would be recovered today.
