Traffic lights at one of Portsmouth’s busiest roundabout were restored today after being knocked out by a road accident.

Drivers were advised to take care approaching the Church Street roundabout in the city centre.

The city council said all lights at the roundabout were not working because of an accident in which a van hit a traffic light.

At lunchtime, the council said the signals were back on but there was no entry to Church Street from the roundabout.
