LEAFLETS that outline car park restrictions will be dished out to motorists ahead of tonight’s festive lights switch-on in Cosham.
High Street traders, Portsmouth North MP Penny Mordaunt and Councillor Jim Fleming will hand out the leaflets which inform visitors they have to pay if they wish to park at a clamper-monitored site in Old Market Road.
Motorists will also be encouraged to use 90p-an-hour car parks in Wootton Street and behind The Red Lion Hotel, in London Road.
The High Street lights switch-on is at 5pm and live music, children’s rides and a firework display are some of the treats in store.
Ms Mordaunt said: ‘This is all about encouraging families to come back to Cosham and letting them know of the restrictions.’
