Witnesses are sought after cyclist is injured in Droxford crash

POLICE want to speak to witnesses to a crash in which a cyclist suffered serious injuries.

A 65-year-old man, who had been cycling a Ridgeback pushbike, was hit by a green Volkswagen Passat on the B2150 at Grenville Hall, Droxford shortly after 2pm last Friday.

As reported in The News, the cyclist, from Swanmore, was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham.

The air ambulance and a Basics doctor also attended.

The Passat driver, from Portchester area, was uninjured but suffered from shock.

The road was closed for four hours while police investigators carried out an examination.

Witnesses to the crash are asked to contact Acting Sgt Nick Bloy at Fratton Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting Operation Jonquil.
