Pedestrian, 90, seriously injured in Fareham car collision

POLICE are appealing for help after a 90-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured when she was hit by a car.

A silver Peugeot 206 hit the pensioner, who was pushing a shopping trolley, as she crossed in Highlands Road, Fareham, at about 2.50pm on Wednesday, February 8.

The woman suffered serious injuries as a result, police said.

Officers are now looking for anyone who witnessed the incident or the moments leading up to it.

PC Michael Nol, of Havant Roads Policing Unit, said: ‘We are trying to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this incident.

‘The collision took place during daylight hours so there may have been people in the area at the time who saw what happened.’
