A FEMALE passenger had to be cut out of a car she was travelling in after it collided with another car.

Firefighters from Fareham and Gosport were called to the accident at the junction of Britten Road and Swanage Road, Lee-on-the-Solent, at 12.31pm.

Both roads were closed while fire crews worked to free the woman.

She was then taken to hospital by ambulance with suspected back injuries.
