A DRIVER had to be cut out of her car by firefighters after she was involved a three-vehicle crash.

The woman has been taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, after the Renault she was driving in collided with a Skoda and a Toyota Rav 4 on London Road, Hilsea, northbound at about 11.15am today.

She is thought to have possible neck, back and spine injuries.

Fire crews, police and ambulance crews were called to the incident near The News Centre after the three cars collided.

Officers shut London Road, from the Coach and Horses pub to the mini roundabout, while fire crews removed the roof of the car to get the woman out safely.

Traffic was diverted along Norway Road during the closure, but the road has since been reopened.
