AN ELDERLY woman whose car crashed into a tree has died in hospital.

Angela Wilsher suffered serious injuries during an accident in Broyle Road, Chichester.

The 79-year-old, of The Drive, Chichester, was involved in the crash at 5.07pm on Thursday, August 9.

It took place when the silver VW Polo she was driving left the road and crashed into a tree.

She was airlifted to Southampton Hospital in a helicopter but died from her injuries on Wednesday.

A police spokesman said: ‘Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting Operation Boreham.’
