A 40-YEAR-OLD woman was rescued from her car following a crash on a motorway slip road near Fareham last night.
Firefighters from Cosham and Fareham cut off the roof of her Citroen Picasso after another car shunted into it on the road off junction 10 on the M27 at 10.30pm last night.
The woman was put on a stretcher and taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Cosham, Portsmouth, for treatment. Her injuries were not serious.
Two men in the other car were treated at the scene for cuts and bruises.
Firefighters were at the scene for around 45 minutes.
Stu Vince, crew manager at Cosham fire station, said: ‘One car was waiting at the lights when another one shunted it from behind.
‘The impact caused the car to go onto the roundabout.
‘We took the roof off the car and the woman driving it was taken to hospital and checked over.’
