A WOMAN has suffered a serious injury after being hit by a minibus in Gosport.

It happened in Carisbrooke Road, in Bridgemary, at 4.12pm. A Ford Transit minibus hit the 22-year-old woman.

The woman has been taken by road to Southampton General Hospital.

The air ambulance attended, a spokeswoman from South Central Ambulance said.

Nearby roads Brading Avenue and Totland Road were closed briefly by police.

No arrests were made.
