A WOMAN was rescued from a yacht after she cut her head.

The skipper aboard the 36ft vessel, which was three miles off Gilkicker Point, called for help at 1.40pm on Saturday.

Solent Coastguard arranged for Gosport and Fareham Inshore Rescue Service to bring her back to shore.

The 31-year-old woman, who is from Milton Keynes, was then treated for her injury by an ambulance crew.

A Solent Coastguard spokesman said: ‘A woman had a bad cut on a boat, so we got Gosport and Fareham Inshore Rescue Service to take her back.’
