CHARITIES and groups are busy preparing a forest of Christmas trees as an annual fundraising competition returns.

The event sees scores of trees decorated with different themes by groups from across Fareham.

The trees are then put on display at Fareham Methodist Church, Kings Road, Fareham, with the public selecting their favourite, which receives a cash prize.

This year’s festival is from Thursday, December 4 until Saturday, December 6 from 10am to 4pm. The winners are announced at 3.30pm on Saturday.
