A DEVASTATED wife has paid an emotional tribute to her husband after he died in an industrial accident.

Julie Campbell, of Cunningham Road, Waterlooville, described 66-year-old Lindsay as someone who had achieved so much in life, including working on the Channel Tunnel.

As reported, Mr Campbell died after falling 30ft from the bucket of a digger at Rudford Industrial Estate in Ford, West Sussex, on July 25.

Mrs Campbell said: ‘He was enthusiastic about life and liked to achieve a positive result in all that he did.

‘Being a father of 10 children brought him nothing but pleasure. They made him proud.

‘He would make them laugh and play practical jokes, sit them down and tell them a funny story.

‘They would listen to him play musical instruments – the organ, the harmonica and the didgeridoo – for hours.’

She described him as a ‘kind, lovely, intelligent man who could turn his hand to anything’.

Mrs Campbell added: ‘It won’t be the same here without him.’
