TWO Portsmouth-born filmmakers have returned from Hollywood with awards.

Chloe Seddon and Phillip Whiteman were asked to screen at both The LA Web Festival and Hollyweb Festival.

They came back with supporting actor awards and Best Produced Comedy series for The Vessel.

Phillip said: ‘We are delighted to have won at LA Web Fest.

‘It’s fantastic to know the US appreciates the humour and subject matter of our series. I imagine this is what it felt like at Sundance in the 80s, being at the forefront of an exciting era.

‘We really are thrilled to win among so many strong series.’

Chloe Seddon hails from Hayling Island.

She attended Portsmouth High School and since has pursued a career in factual television working with some of her heroes – who include famous household names as Sir David Attenborough, Richard Dawkins and Lord Robert Winston.
